Working with and for soldiers, civilians and peacekeepers can be extremely dangerous for translators and interpreters, often they are in more danger than anyone else when they are working in war zones.

Despite the risk of becoming a target of aggressions, translators and interpreters are not specifically protected by international legislation.

The aim of this petition is a UN resolution to protect translators and interpreters, similar to those adopted for the protection of journalists.
